Michael Schachter is a partner with Strategy Law, LLP. Prior to joining Strategy Law, LLP, he was a partner at LMA Law, LLP. On the business and corporate side, Michael represents a broad range of companies, from early stage to publicly traded companies. His practice includes the structuring, negotiation and consummation of mergers, stock sales, asset acquisitions and other reorganizations. Michael also represents emerging growth companies in all aspects of business and corporate matters, including entity formation, shareholder and operating agreements, angel and venture capital financing, private placements, and general corporate counseling. Michael’s special expertise includes intellectual property protection, securities compliance, resolution of partnership disputes, corporate governance, business succession, and business strategic planning.
On the commercial real estate side, Michael represents private real estate investors and investment companies; public companies including Fortune 1000 companies; commercial, office, medical, industrial and R&D landlords and tenants; and real estate developers. He has special expertise in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisition, development, construction, financing, leasing and disposition. He has also handled complex matters involving title issues, the resolution of landlord and tenant disputes, purchase and sale of mortgage-backed loans, easements, licenses, and real estate brokerage.

Prior Experience:
He first became involved in real estate, business and corporate transactions at Silicon Valley Law Group in 2004, where he worked with Lucy Lofrumento, Frank Maiorana, and Terri Molinaro. In 2007, Michael joined Nixon Peabody LLP, where he honed his skills working on large, complex real estate and business transactions. In 2010, Michael founded Pearson & Schachter in Walnut Creek, and in 2019 he opened the Walnut Creek office of Ropers Majeski PC, as a partner. Michael re-joined Lucy Lofrumento and Frank Maiorana when they recruited him to become a partner at LMA Law.
